Burke & Herbert Bank Donates $19,100 to Help End Veteran Homelessness
The Washington Capitals have just ended their regular season scoring a total of 191 goals. That means that the final score for this season’s “Burke & Herbert Bank Hundreds for Homes” program is a donation of $19,100 to Operation Renewed Hope Foundation.
Through the “Hundreds for Homes” program, the Bank pledged to donate $100 for every Capitals goal scored during the 2021 regular season. We’re proud to support Operation Renewed Hope Foundation in their mission to help veterans who are homeless secure safe, permanent housing throughout the Washington, DC area, and also overcome the root causes of homelessness and instability in their lives.
The “Burke & Herbert Bank Hundreds for Homes” program marks the sixth year in a row that Burke & Herbert Bank has teamed up with NBC Sports Washington to leverage the excitement of the hockey season and the enthusiasm of Capitals on-air announcers Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin to help a deserving local non-profit organization and raise awareness about an important cause. Thank you to the team at NBC Sports Washington and the Washington Capitals for helping us make a difference in the lives of veterans in our region.
