As the oldest bank in Northern Virginia, and an essential part of the community, we believe it’s our duty to practice what we preach when it comes to financial responsibility. This is why we are committed to supporting parents and educators in teaching children and young adults about money, the importance of financial literacy and responsibility, and helping them make smart choices in their future when it comes to credit.
With these goals in mind, we are proud to offer our “Learning About Money” program, through which Burke & Herbert Bank team members visit schools to help increase understanding of financial matters using lessons tailored to K-12 students. We believe that through these efforts, teachers, parents/guardians and Burke & Herbert Bank can make a difference in the financial future of our children.
If your school or youth organization is interested in having us assist you with a financial literacy lesson or lessons for students, please email us at save@burkeandherbertbank.com. Using the information you provide, we will match your goals and needs with the right lesson and Burke & Herbert Bank team member to visit your students.
