Hundreds For Homes

With the Washington Capitals ending the regular season with 191 goals, we are thrilled to donate a total of $19,100 ($100 per goal) to opens in a new windowOperation Renewed Hope Foundation (ORHF), through the “Burke & Herbert Bank Hundreds for Homes” program. ORHF is a nonprofit organization that helps at-risk veterans who are experiencing homelessness to obtain safe, permanent homes, and to overcome the root causes of homelessness and instability in their lives.

As a local community bank, part of Burke & Herbert Bank’s mission is helping our neighbors in need, and “Hundreds for Homes” helps us do that. This year’s program resulted in a sizeable donation to a worthy cause, plus created additional visibility for Operation Renewed Hope Foundation.

The 2021 “Hundreds for Homes” sponsorship marks the sixth year in a row that Burke & Herbert Bank has teamed up with NBC Sports Washington to raise awareness and direct funds to a worthy local non-profit. Organizations receiving past donations include Homestretch, Inc., Rebuilding Together DC-Alexandria, Connect our Kids, Inc., Alice’s Kids, Inc., and Most Valuable Kids Inc.
