'Hundreds for Homes' Nets $28,200
Burke & Herbert Bank's "Hundreds for Homes" promotion, conducted in partnership with NBC Sports Washington during the 2018-2019 National Hockey League regular season, resulted in a donation of $28,200 to Rebuilding Together DC-Alexandria. For every goal and hat trick scored by the Washington Capitals this season, the Bank donated $100 to support Rebuilding Together DC-Alexandria and the great work they are doing to help individuals throughout our community find adequate housing or make critical home repairs. The Capitals scoring total of 278 goals and four hat tricks during the regular season resulted in the $28,200 award.
Since 2015, Burke & Herbert Bank has partnered with NBC Sports Washington to leverage the excitement of NHL hockey and help a deserving local non-profit organization. Since then, the Bank has donated more than $25,000 each to Most Valuable Kids, Alice's Kids, and Connect Our Kids. This year's donation was our highest yet.
We're proud to partner with NBC Sports Washington and happy to provide a significant assist to our neighbors in need.
