Bank to Grow Government Contracting Business
Alexandria, VA – Burke & Herbert Bank, a full-service community bank since 1852, announced the appointment of Oliver James to Senior Vice President, Regional Director of Commercial Banking for the greater Washington metro region and Loudoun County. In this role, James will be responsible for leading the Bank’s growing team of commercial relationship managers in developing a strong presence in the region with an emphasis on building business in the Government Contracting Industry.
James has over twenty years of financial industry experience with firms like, Wachovia (now Wells Fargo), BB&T (now Truist) and Eagle Bank. Most recently, he directed commercial lending at FVC Bank in Reston, VA, managing a team of lenders and portfolio managers. James grew up in the suburbs of London, England, where he attended Brooklands College majoring in Economics and Political Science before emigrating to the United States, where he lives with his wife Christina and two sons, Sebastian & Elliott in Loudoun County.
