If you are between 13 and 18 years old and ready to put your creativity (and financial knowledge) to the test, enter the Lights, Camera, Save! video contest – you could win up to $5,000 in local and national prizes!
What Is ‘Lights Camera Save!’?
It’s a national video competition that encourages teens to spread the word about the importance of using money wisely. To enter, create a short (30-second), interesting video that speaks to others your age about wise money use. Pick a topic that’s relevant to kids your age like budgeting, saving for college, credit scores – any financial topic you feel speaks to teens. Use the power of video to get your message across in a fun and engaging way. Then upload your video online and email the link and a completed entry formopens PDF file to firstname.lastname@example.org new email. Do it no later than March 1, 2021.
Over $9000 in Prizes
Over $9000 in local and national prizes will be awarded. Burke & Herbert Bank will select three preliminary-round winners and reward them with $350, $100 and $50 gift cards, respectively. Their teachers will also be recognized with a $50 gift card from the Bank!
The Burke & Herbert Bank winner will advance to the national competition, which offers a first-place prize of $5,000, a second-place prize of $2,000 and two third-place prizes of $1,000 each. Winners of the national competition, which is sponsored by the American Bankers Association, will be announced in late March 2021.
Exciting News For Teachers!
We’re here to help you encourage your students to participate in “Lights, Camera, Save!” and to learn about money management! Invite our bankers to teach a virtual financial literacy lesson to your class and review the contest rules. Remember, Burke & Herbert Bank will award a $50 gift card to the teacher of each of our three regional winners.

Don’t Forget: Entry Deadline Is March 1
So get your creative ideas flowing, show off your money smarts, and send us your videos no later than March 1, 2021. To enter, download the Contestant Entry Packet and Official Rules, create and upload your video, then email the video’s link and your completed entry formopens PDF file to email@example.com new email by March 1. Around March 8, Burke & Herbert Bank judges will choose a winner from all the videos submitted to advance to the national competition.
