Spot the Signs
Protect Your Accounts from Online Scams
We want to bring an industry-wide issue to your attention: scammers are sending fake texts and emails that look like they are from your bank. Their goal: get you to click fast or share information that gives them access to your accounts.
How These Scams Work
Fraudsters create urgency so you react quickly. And once you login, they move FAST! You might see:
•“Suspicious activity on your account”
• Request to “verify your identity”
• Links to FAKE bank websites
• Requests for your login credentials

• Doesn’t reference a specific transaction
• Links to an imposter website or prompts to install software

• Short & factual
• References a specific transaction
• DOES NOT ask for login information or codes
• DOES NOT include links requesting credentials
Rules to Block Scams
- Don’t click unexpected links
- Never share your passwords
- Verify using a trusted phone number -from your contacts, your card, or our website—not from a text!
