Bank’s Goals for Good Program Wraps Ninth Year Supporting Local Charitable Organizations
Alexandria, VA –As part of its annual Goals for Good program, Burke & Herbert Bank presented a check for $22,000 to the Capital Youth Empowerment Program (CYEP). CYEP is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization providing critical life skills to local youth, fathers, and families.
“We’re pleased to have been selected as the Burke & Herbert Bank ‘Goals for Good’ donation recipient,” said Erick King, Capital Youth Empowerment Program (CYEP) Executive Director. “These funds will allow us to support both our operations and programs within the community. In addition, the increased visibility has helped increase awareness and access to our programs and services within the Washington Metropolitan area.”
“This year’s recipient, the Capital Youth Empowerment Program, is doing great work with disenfranchised families, focusing on education, mentoring and career development,” remarked President and Chief Executive Officer David Boyle. “As a local bank, we know the important role community involvement such as this plays in future success, financial and otherwise. The 2023-2024 hockey season is the ninth the Bank has partnered with Monumental Sports (formerly NBC) to raise awareness and funds for a worthy non-profit.
