This Just In: Burke & Herbert Bank Donates $26,300 to Alice's Kids!
For the second year in a row, Burke & Herbert Bank pledged to donate, to a worthy local charity, $100 for every goal scored by the Capitals during the regular season. Now that the Caps have finished regular-season play with an impressive 263 goals scored, Burke & Herbert Bank was proud to present a check for $26,300 to Alice's Kids on the final day of the 2016-17 regular season. Way to go!
Alice's Kids, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to children by paying for smaller-ticket but urgently needed items that matter to a kid's success and self-esteem - such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, class trip fees, instrument rentals, sports uniforms & equipment, and more.
"Burke & Herbert Bank Scores for Kids" leverages the excitement of NHL hockey to help thousands of area children and their families. The promotion, which runs in partnership with CSN Midatlantic, is now in its second year. Last season, thanks to the Caps' league-leading scoring, the Bank donated $25,200 to another children's charity, MVK Inc.
